The 4-member volleyball National Selection Committee helmed by former Sri Lanka captain Udeni Priyadharshani was appointed early this week.
The selection committee members received their appointment letters from Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage at the Sugathadasa Sports Complex on Monday (10)
Udeni Priyadharshani was one of the key players of the 1991 South Asian Games Gold medal winning team and she was later appointed as Vice President of the sport’s domestic governing body – Volleyball Federation.
The other committee members are Palitha Napagoda, Wasanthi Mangalika and Krishanthi Jayawardena, respectively.
Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation President senior DIG Sajeewa Medawatte and Secretary Wing Commander Akila de Alwis were also involved in the event.
