Galle Gallants clinched a memorable five-wicket victory over Jaffna Kings in the final at R. Premadasa Stadium, securing the championship title in impressive fashion.
Batting first, Jaffna Kings struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 123 runs. Kamil Mishara top-scored with a fighting 41, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to provide enough support as the Kings were dismissed for a modest total.
Galle Gallants made light work of the chase, reaching 126 for 5 in just 15.5 overs, with 25 balls to spare.
Thomas Rogers contributed a valuable 34, while Dinura Kalupahana added 31 to keep the chase on track. The finishing touch came from captain Dasun Shanaka, who produced a powerful unbeaten 20 off just nine deliveries to take the Gallants over the line.
With a composed chase and a disciplined bowling performance, Galle Gallants completed a convincing five-wicket victory and lifted the title, capping off a memorable campaign in front of the crowd at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
